When I first saw these, I thought they were a little silly. Then I got another brand of packing cubes as a gift, and they are wonderful. In addition to keeping things from sliding around in your suitcase (thus keeping them wrinkle-free), it is easy to pull out a cube that has everything you need in it for the day. This size seems to be perfect for me. Holds an outfit (along with appropriate undergarments) for a day, along with a nightgown (summer clothes, in winter you may have to skip the nightgown). You can also load dirty clothes up in them to keep them separate, because the packing cubes are washable. Planning on purchasing a set for my daughter, too!
