Henschel 5310 June 21, 2012 Reviewer: Doc from Midwest USA A great 3-season hat. Keeps the sun away, but allows your head to breathe. Keeps good shape with regular use for about two years. Then becomes a good fishing/boating hat. Lanyard keeps the hat on in the wind.

Best hat Ive ever owned January 06, 2012 Reviewer: gyr from Central Florida Just purchased a second HH5310 as a back-up. Still wearing my first 5310. In the past 5 years it's hiked Denali, sailed the Caribbean, the Mediterranian and the Gulf of Alaska, been whitewater rafting and explored the ruins of Pompeii with me. Its been packed flat in duffels and luggage, soaked by rain and saltwater and worn daily in the Florida summer sun. It has held its shape and still looks like new except for some sweat staining on the front of the band (which cleaned easily with Woolite). I've rarely, if ever, been as satisfied with an article of apparel. If you like the way it looks- buy it. Because it'll look that way apparently forever.

Henschel on Sabbatical October 17, 2010 Reviewer: Cameron from Connecticut I picked up my first Henschel hat in Charlotte last November. Since then, I've hiked with it to Machu Picchu in Peru, traveled with it all around Turkey, played golf with it at St. Andrews (untill it started gusting over 35mph), and played volleyball with it at Rancho La Puerta in Tecate MX. I liked it so much that when the seasons changed (and I am, if nothing, a man of refined sensibilities and good manners), I went back to the catalogue to get a duplicate hat in darker colors. Unfortunately, I could find nowhere on my hat exactly what model it is and couldn't tell from the catalogue, either. As a result, I ended up with two new hats with brims wider than my original. I like them both and am putting them to the test (one has already survived volleyball at Rancho), and I'll be taking them to Vietnam and Cambodia in Novemeber and Egypt in January. I have found in each case, however, that the look of these hats is improved with the addition of a band. My original tan summer Henschel I completed with a cloth "cumberbnd"; the winter two I outfitted with horsehair bands I bought at the Texas State Fair in early October. I have received great reviews. I recommend the hats without reservation as to styling and fit, as well as practical service. They're cool, far more interesting than a baseball cap, and proclaim your adventurous spirit.

Perfect hat September 01, 2010 Reviewer: Steve from Houston, TX I ordered an extra large and it was just a bit large for me, but large hats are a bit too small for me, in general. I found by using steam to slightly shrink the hat, it fit perfectly. The price was attractive. It is used when I play golf and the 3" brim works very well as a sun shade. The leather chin strap works well when the wind kicks up. The breezer style makes for a cool hat in summer and it is stylist, as well. I would recommend it without reservation.
