I liked this so much in black, I bought a brown one too. I have a lot of hats... straw, felt and leather - this fabric beats them all. Warmer than strw and cooler than leather or felt. Shapeable, firm and great sun shade - I live in Phoenix, AZ

I bought this hat for working outside in the sun and rain. I have a hat for heavy rain, but I wanted one for showers. It just doesn't look like it's as water repelent as I had hoped. The brim is also a little bigger than I wanted. It appears to be a quality hat, just doesn't quite suit me.

This is the second Henschel hat like this that I have owned. There isn't a better hat for keeping you out of the weather. I work outside most of the day and rain, snow, or sun it does a great job of keeping you protected and dry. They hold up really well, the only reason I bought a second one is because my 5 year old son claimed my old one.

Just received my Henschel hat and can't wait to break it in. The only downside -- and there is only one -- is that I normally wear a 7 1/4. In this case it was suggested I order a size LARGE, which starts at 7 1/4 up to 7 3/8. So it's no surprise that the hat is a bit big for my taste (though I'm certain a size MEDIUM would have been too small). Other owners of these hats say the hat will shrink in time with use. If that's the case, then I may have to amend this review and give the hat 5 stars.
