This high-loft jacket is Patagonia's warmest layering piece made of Regulator® R3 fleece and engineered for maximum thermal value and minimal weight when layered under a shell! The R3 Hi Loft Jacket is extremely warm and super light. The high-loft directional knit provides maximum warmth-to weight ratio, wicks moisture and speeds dry time. Polartec® Power Dry® fleece stretch panels provide improved fit and enhanced durability in high-wear areas. Microfleece-lined collar, cuffs and hem enhance comfort. It features a shoulder yoke offset for comfort with the pack straps. It has a stretch-woven chest pocket for quick-access storage and a drawcord hem that helps reduce heat loss and trap warmth close to the body. This jacket has a regular fit and weighs (16 oz) 454 g. The body fabric is 7.5-oz is a Polartec Thermal Pro® blend of 98% polyester (70% recycled) and 2% spandex. The side panels are 6.6-oz Polartec Power Stretch® 88% polyester (60% recycled) and 12% spandex. The pocket is 4.9-oz 95% polyester and 5% spandex. It's even recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program!

Excellent fleece. Good weight to warmth retention. The fit is trim and is not overly bulky. This has become my primary go to fleece.Buy it, you can't go wrong.

This is a quality jacket - keeps you toasty warm but definitely has breath-ability so that you don't overheat when on the move outside. I've worn the jacket when temps have been in the teens (w/ down vest over it) and then alone when its been in the 30s. Its incredibly comfortable - I went with a medium as I'm 5'9", 170lbs - a perfect fit for me. One minor complaint - the sleeve openings do not have any elastic and so they do stretch out a bit - but, not a complaint that would keep me from ordering another down the road.
