Does everything I need and expect from this type of hat.For winter/cooler weather it keeps the head warm; it provides all-around protection and the 3 inch brim provides excellent shade and cuts glare from the sun; very stylish and have received many unsolicited compliments.Being located directly adjacent to the ocean and exposed to a fair amount of wind, it has not blown off---one must remember to slightly lower one's head against a prevailing wind to prevent a 'sail" effect.It is, indeed, crushable and water resistant. The price is right, Shoebuy's service was excellent!

Well-constructed; seems about a half-size too big. Save the foam it's shipped with: you can use it to fill in behind the sweat band if needed to size properly.

Good looking hat and comfortable fit January 03, 2013

Well I ordered the Olive color hat twice. The first time it came in it looked chocolate brown, so I sent it back. The second one arrived and looked exactly the same. I decided to keep it. After a few days out of the box the hat actually turned olive! Who knew? I really like the hat and my wife says she likes the looks of it.
