These socks are almost to the knee, comfortable, a bit thick, and machine washable. Color is greyish although its says charcoal.

I bought these for my husband and he likes them a great deal. All of the socks that he wears are Smartwool socks because his feet sweat a great deal and the Smartwool socks keep his feet from sweating.

I recently bought a pair of Smartwool Classic Rib socks. The Classic Rib could be considered quite casual, but I think they match my suit pants rather well. Personally, I like the cushion of the Classic rib.In either case, you are not going to go wrong by purchasing any Smartwool socks. They are all I own...and they last a really long time.I highly recommend them.
