Extra stretch yarn added to conform more precisely to the ankle area. Custom toe area designed to allow for better fit for a woman's foot. Smaller heel pocket for added comfort and improved fit for a woman's smaller heel. Lightweight padding in the heel and ball protect the foot from shear and impact forces and helps to prevent painful blisters. Lace pad protects the top of foot against boot lace pressure. Elastic and low padding in the arch for added comfort and better fit. CoolMax® ventilation panel to improve fit and wicking. Level 2 Protection: Provides moderate protection for those activities that are somewhat strenuous but are not of long duration.

I bought these to help keep my feet warm, and I'm not disappointed! I love that they are not sold in a "one-size-fits-all". I usually have to buy children's size. No irritation around toe seam at all. Just love 'em!

I have four pair of Thorlos that I bought over ten years ago and have wonr them since then. They have finally become a little worn, so ordered new ones. These are made of a blend and are even better than the old cotton ones. They stay up without any binding and feel heavenly soft.

Walked for hours all through Italy in them! Comfortable, breathable, no chafing. I am washing with liquid fabric softener as Thorlo recommends as it does seem to make them even more comfortable.
